DTF Powder

The DTF Powder - Premium 1 kg (2.2 lb) is a high-quality thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) hot melt adhesive designed for direct-to-film (DTF) printing, delivering professional-grade transfers with unmatched durability and vibrancy. Specially formulated for seamless integration with DTF printers and films, this finely milled powder ensures strong adhesion between ink and fabric, producing long-lasting prints that withstand multiple washes. Ideal for custom apparel, accessories, and promotional items, it offers versatility across various materials, making it a must-have for print shops, small businesses, and creative enthusiasts. Its 80-180 micron range and anti-clumping properties guarantee smooth application and flawless results.

Why Choose a Premium DTF Powder?

Direct-to-film printing relies on high-quality adhesive powder to achieve vibrant, durable transfers. This premium TPU powder stands out for its superior bonding strength, ensuring designs adhere firmly to fabrics like cotton, polyester, blends, and even specialty materials such as spandex or leather. Its fine particle size allows for precise application, capturing intricate details and micro halftones without residue or over-filling, resulting in sharp, professional prints.

The 1 kg (2.2 lb) package is perfect for both small-scale and high-volume production, offering cost-effective performance without compromising quality. Its compatibility with hot, warm, or cold peel films enhances workflow flexibility, while the non-toxic, Oeko-Tex Standard 100-certified formula ensures safety for users and end products, including children’s clothing.

DTF Powder Key Features of the Powder

This TPU powder is engineered for optimal performance. Its 80-180 micron range balances adhesion and softness, making it suitable for detailed designs and larger coverage areas. The finely milled texture prevents clumping, ensuring even application whether applied manually or with an automatic shaker. It melts smoothly at 230-350°F (110-177°C), creating a strong bond without clogging equipment.

Additional features include scratch resistance, high wash fastness, and vibrant color retention, ensuring prints remain vivid after 75+ washes. The powder’s anti-static properties reduce residue, simplifying cleanup and maintenance. It works seamlessly with all DTF printers and PET films, offering versatility for diverse projects. Its 3-year shelf life, when stored in a cool, dry place, ensures long-term reliability.

Versatility Across Applications

This adhesive powder excels in a wide range of applications, from T-shirts and hoodies to tote bags, sportswear, and accessories. Its strong adhesion supports transfers onto light and dark fabrics, eliminating the need for cropping or weeding, unlike traditional heat transfer methods. For dark fabrics, it pairs with white ink (W+KCMY) systems for vibrant results, while light fabrics require only KCMY inks, simplifying the process.

The powder’s flexibility and stretchability make it ideal for elastic materials like activewear, ensuring prints move with the fabric without cracking. Its ability to bond with non-textile surfaces, such as ceramics or wood, when paired with appropriate films, expands creative possibilities, allowing businesses to diversify their offerings.

Benefits of the Fine-Milled Formula

The fine particle size of this powder delivers a soft, breathable finish, enhancing wearer comfort compared to bulkier alternatives. It minimizes texture, creating a polished, professional look that’s ideal for high-end apparel. The smooth application reduces waste, maximizing efficiency and lowering production costs.

Its ability to adhere only to inked areas prevents residue on unprinted sections, ensuring clean transfers with crisp edges. This precision is particularly valuable for intricate designs or small text, where clarity is critical. The powder’s elasticity also ensures durability, making it suitable for items subjected to frequent stretching or washing.

Ease of Use for All Skill Levels

This powder is designed for effortless integration into DTF workflows. Print your design onto a DTF film using compatible inks, apply the powder evenly while the ink is wet, cure it using a heat press or oven at 230-275°F (110-135°C), and transfer onto the fabric at 300-350°F (149-177°C) for 3-10 seconds. Peel the film to reveal a vibrant, durable print.

The powder’s anti-clumping formula ensures smooth application, even for beginners. It works with both manual and automated shakers, offering flexibility for different setups. Always use protective equipment, such as masks and gloves, and work in a well-ventilated area to ensure safety during handling.

Instructions

Print Your Design: Load the DTF film into your printer and print your design using high-quality DTF inks.

Apply Powder: Once your design is printed, evenly sprinkle the Premium DTF Powder over the design. Use a shaker to ensure an even coat, then shake off any excess powder.

Cure the Design: Place the printed film in a DTF dryer to cure the ink and powder. This helps ensure proper bonding between the ink and the fabric.

Heat Press: Position the printed film on your garment and apply heat and pressure according to the film's instructions, adjusting time and temperature based on the fabric type for best results.

Peel and Finish: After heat pressing, peel the film (either hot, warm or cold, based on your preference), and allow the garment to cool down. Your design is now ready to wear!

Storage: Store any unused powder in its original sealed packaging. Keep it in a cool, dry place to prevent moisture from affecting its performance.

Handling Care: Be careful when handling the powder to avoid spills or contamination. Always use clean, dry tools to apply the powder.

Avoid Clumping: Make sure the powder is stored in a dry area to prevent clumping or hardening over time.
